Blues By The Bay was inspired by my love of the blues, intersecting with my love of experimental beats that draw on the calmness of lofihiphop and lofibeats. Put together with my love of the ocean and the #bigcalm of just staring out into the vastness of the sea and the peace that beaches bring me, I decided to make this LP in just a couple of months after a vacation of mine to the South of India, where I visited beaches and played DJ sets in shacks. Blues By The Bay draws on all these influences and is a 12 track tape that is a bit different from regular lofihiphop and beattapes. It was made with the premise of bringing the blues to abstract hip hop beats.

As Ghost Intent puts it, "As an artist influenced by so many different genres and always pushing myself and experimenting with my sounds and music, I wanted to throw some light on the blues in a 21st century take, amalgamating it with abstract and experimental hip hop beats. They don't exactly classify as lofihiphop or lofibeats, but they're smooth and relaxing sounds to groove to and to sit back and relax to. It's experimental and was inspired by my trip to the beaches of South India, where I relaxed for a couple of weeks and carried my laptop & MIDI keyboard to work by the ocean. It was a calm setting and one that inspired this album. I hope you like my take"
